Spring Girls Lacrosse Details
United Lacrosse is now offering girls lacrosse! Learn how to play girls lacrosse this Fall in the Highlands neighborhood! Mastering the fundamentals is the most important aspect of developing a new skill! We dedicate the beginning of each practice to sound fundamental lacrosse development achieved by drills that emphasize proper throwing, catching, communication, and ground balls. The second part of practice is geared towards reinforcing and implementing the fundamentals learned by playing games and scrimmages.
Girls programming will be run by Beth Calder, who has over 10 years of coaching experience at Regis University. Coach Beth also played collegiately at Cornell University. Scroll down for bio.

MEET COACH LAUREN BENNER
Benner grew up in Annapolis, MD and started playing lacrosse in the second grade. She continued to be a multi-sport athlete through high school. Benner played lacrosse collegiately at the University of Virginia (2006-2010) where she was a 2x ACC Champion, NCAA Final Runner Up, IWLCA All-South Regional Team selectee and VaSID All-State Team selectee.
Having redshirted her second year at UVA, Benner chose to pursue her fifth year of eligibility at the University of Denver (DU) from 2010-2011, while obtaining an M.S. in Strategic Communications. Benner served on the DU coaching staff from 2011-2015 specializing in defensive and goalie coaching. Throughout this time in Colorado she also officiated youth, high school and collegiate women's lacrosse games and was a member of the Colorado Women's Lacrosse Officials Association. She also served as the club director to Denver Summit Lacrosse from 2011 to 2015.
In September of 2015, Benner expanded her coaching resume, joining the University of Louisville's women's lacrosse staff. She served as their Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator until August of 2016. Missing friends, family and the Colorado lifestyle, she made the decision to move back to Denver and start Line 39 Lacrosse in October of 2016. Now in Denver, Benner will continue to officiate youth, high school and college games. In addition to all of her coaching and officiating experience, Benner was hand selected to be a Team STX athlete in 2013 and continues to compete nationally and internationally.
